Brad Sommer is a filmmaker, adventure photographer and pianist (albeit, that last part isn't really relevant here). Brad studied at DePaul University in Chicago where he earned his BA in film production with a concentration in Directing. Brad's love for the visual arts really flourished when he travelled across the country to Boston to take part in a two month filmmaking workshop at Emerson College. Since then, he's been a part of three different service-learning expeditions; one to Guatemala, one to Ecuador, and the last to The Philippines. On top of that, he's studied both Italian filmmaking and Italian film history in Rome for two months along with three months in Paris interning for the Champs-Élysées Film Festival. Following his graduation from DePaul in the Summer of 2019, Brad went on to intern for several production companies in Los Angeles for five months. Brad began his professional career in the Fall of 2019, and his talents have yet to be recognized.
As a filmmaker, his years of experience around the world has shaped not only his way of telling a story but enables him to bring an authentic and unique perspective to every frame. As a photographer, Brad's known for his ability to capture extraordinary imagery and stories wherever he is; high up in the mountains or down below in the water, sweating in jungles or covered in sand.
